A small team, deep in one layer.
Who we are
WizHub is a payments and channel engineering firm based at Ecobank Towers in Nairobi. We build and integrate the systems that move money for banks, microfinance institutions and processors across East Africa.
Why we're small
We've stayed deliberately small. Payments work rewards a team that has seen the same failure twice more than it rewards a team of forty. Every engineer here has worked on a live switch. Nobody learns on your project.
What we don't do
We don't build marketing websites, we don't take on general mobile app work, and we don't bid on things we haven't done before. If a project isn't within a few metres of a payment message, we'll usually point you somewhere better.
Where we sit
Nairobi, working across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. Same timezone as your operations team, which matters more than it sounds at two in the morning.
Partners
We hold working experience across OpenWay, Infobip, Ducont, Compito Plus and STS, and we've delivered into National Bank of Kenya.
Trusted by industry leaders
Real numbers that reflect our commitment to reliability and innovation.
Switch availability across managed environments, trailing two years.
Platform partners we hold direct integration experience on.
Building payment and channel systems from Nairobi.
Shipped, then kept running
We do the part the vendor doesn't
We're in your timezone
When the switch throws a decline storm at 2am, you're calling Nairobi, not raising a ticket that gets picked up in Frankfurt after lunch.
We've read the spec you're stuck on
Scheme certification, Daraja's callback semantics, Way4's parameterisation. We've been through it. You won't be paying us to learn it on your project.
We hand the system over
Documentation, runbooks and a walkthrough with your team. The goal is that you don't need us on retainer. Most clients call us back anyway.
